MadCasino for New Zealand Players
In brief: MadCasino is operated by Softon Ltd under offshore licence ALSI-202409012-FI1 from Anjouan, valid until 6 September 2027 in the public register. New Zealand is not on the casino's excluded list, while Australia is. The site has no New Zealand licence. New sign-ups choose no bonus, a 250% sports package, or a 777% slots package worth up to €7,500 across five deposits. All published amounts are in euro; NZD figures need checking in the cashier. There is no app, only the mobile site, and the smallest withdrawal is €100. Set limits first.
18+. Bonus terms apply. Cashback of 20% is reserved for VIP members.

MadCasino Bonuses and Promotions
The Promotions page holds four packages: two for new accounts and two that repeat weekly. Each package splits into steps with their own match, cap and wagering, and each step is switched on with its own Claim button. No promo code appears anywhere. The caps below are the euro figures the casino publishes; if your account is in NZD, check the converted caps in the cashier before depositing, because NZD amounts are not published.

The Five-Step Slots Package
Step one matches 200% up to €500 at 10x wagering, so depositing €250 already fills it. Steps two and three match 150% up to €1,000 and €2,000 at just 5x; step four gives 100% up to €3,000 at 10x, and step five 177% up to €1,000 at 10x. Each step is claimed separately in Promotions before its deposit. What the cards leave out: a minimum deposit, a claim window and whether wagering is counted on the bonus alone or on deposit plus bonus — so open the step's terms before you claim. While a bonus is live, the stake limit is €10 per spin, bonus buys are not allowed and convertible winnings stop at 25 times the bonus, the cap for casino bonuses.
The Sports Package
Bettors can take the sports package instead of the slots one: 100% up to €500, then 50% up to €1,000, then 100% up to €2,000, each at 5x wagering. The bonus only works in the sportsbook. Every single bet placed with it needs decimal odds of 1.80 or more, and the terms treat a lower price as a breach that can cost the winnings. Convertible winnings are capped at 10 times the bonus, and the €10 stake limit still applies. Cricket is on the menu; rugby is not, so check your usual markets before choosing this package.
Weekly Reloads and Cashback
Once the welcome stage is behind you, a weekly slots package offers four reloads totalling 550% and as much as €7,500: 100% to €1,000 on Wednesday at 20x, 200% to €1,000 on Friday at 25x, 150% to €2,000 on Saturday at 25x, and 100% to €3,500 on Sunday at 25x. Bettors get two reloads of their own, each with 7x wagering: the Tuesday Sports Boost (100%, max €500) and the Friday Sports Reload (100%, max €1,000). You can only run one bonus at once, and the home-page 20% cashback is a VIP-only perk.
Free Spins and Promo Codes
No current package includes free spins, and nothing is credited on registration. Sites promising "exclusive" MadCasino codes or no-deposit spins are quoting offers that do not appear on the casino's pages, and older term sheets with 30x wagering or a €2 stake limit are out of date. Compare any offer with the live Promotions page first.
Bonus Rules to Check
- Deposit and bonus sit in a bonus balance; cancelling before your first bet returns the deposit to cash.
- Stake limit with a bonus: €10. Bigger bets void the related winnings.
- Winnings convert to cash up to 25x a deposit bonus or 10x a sports bonus.
- Buying features or bonus rounds is off-limits until the bonus is cleared or cancelled.
- Every live casino game is excluded, as are titles such as Chicken Road, Mines, Plinko, Aviator and Immortal Romance.
Is MadCasino Legal in New Zealand?
MadCasino is not licensed in New Zealand. Softon Ltd, the operator, appears in the register of the Anjouan (Union of the Comoros) gaming authority under licence ALSI-202409012-FI1; it was issued on 7 September 2024 and runs to 6 September 2027. That lets the company operate under Anjouan rules; it brings none of the oversight a New Zealand licence would.
Gambling in New Zealand falls under the Gambling Act 2003, administered by the Department of Internal Affairs. Online gambling may not be offered from within the country except by TAB NZ for betting and Lotto NZ, but the law does not make it an offence for New Zealanders to play on overseas sites. The government is moving to a licensing system for online casinos with a limited number of licences, and MadCasino has not announced any plans to apply.
For recreational players, gambling winnings are generally not taxed in New Zealand. MadCasino accepts players from 18, although New Zealand's land-based casinos admit only those aged 20 and over. The terms ban VPNs and proxies used to hide your location, and a breach can lead to a frozen account and a withheld balance.
Across the Tasman. Australia is on MadCasino's excluded list. If you live in Australia, or are visiting there, you cannot open or use an account, even with a New Zealand passport.
Countries MadCasino Excludes
Clause 3.1.2 shuts out anyone living in or visiting Sweden, Germany, the Comoros, Austria, Spain, Cyprus, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands or the USA. The same ban reaches Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius, Saba, Bonaire and Aruba (the Dutch Caribbean), sanctioned and FATF-blacklisted states, and anywhere Curaçao or the Anjouan authority has blacklisted. The operator can refuse players from other countries too. New Zealand is not named, but the terms and the KYC policy do not list exactly the same countries, so absence from one list is not a guarantee.
General information only, not legal advice. New Zealand's online gambling rules are changing; check the current position before you gamble online.
Signing Up and Logging In
Registration takes two short screens. The terms require a mobile number, email, username and password, plus the remaining form fields, and the name must be your legal one; only support can change it afterwards. Choose the account currency carefully, because the bonus caps you will actually get depend on it.
- Go to madcasino6.io in a current browser such as Chrome or Safari and press Sign up.
- Choose a bonus or none: the slots package, the sports package, or the "I don't want a bonus" option.
- Add email and password, then select New Zealand and your currency; if NZD is offered, check the converted caps before the first deposit.
- Confirm you are 18 or older and accept the terms and privacy policy; marketing consent is optional.
- Fill in the profile: first and last name, a +64 phone number, postcode and date of birth exactly as on your passport or driver licence.
- Plan for verification: every withdrawal needs photo ID, a selfie holding the same document and a recent bank statement or utility bill.
Use Log in at the top right to sign back in. One account per person is the rule; duplicates can be closed along with their winnings.
Fixing Login Problems
If your password is refused, press Forgot password? and follow the emailed link, checking spam if it takes a while. On Android, clearing Chrome's cache and site data usually cures a page that keeps loading. On iPhone, switch off content blockers for the site in Safari or try Chrome. Windows users sometimes find the login box blocked by an old browser version or an overzealous security add-on; updating, or opening a private window, usually sorts it. Do not reach for a VPN: the terms forbid it and the account can be frozen. Still stuck? Email support@madcasino.io from your registered address with the device, browser and exact error message.
Enter your street address exactly as it appears on the statement or bill you will upload later, because it should match that document.
Deposits and Withdrawals from NZ
Logos for Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Bitcoin sit on the home page, American Express and further coins appear in the footer, and e-wallets plus bank transfer get a mention in the FAQ. POLi and other local bank-payment services are not among the logos. The cashier you see after logging in depends on your country and account currency. Limits are published in euro, and whether NZD is offered as an account currency was not confirmed.
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | Min deposit | Min withdrawal | Fees | KYC |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa / Mastercard | Instant or a few minutes | Not confirmed for cards | Shown in cashier | Not stated | No casino fee; bank may charge for currency conversion | Before first withdrawal |
| Apple Pay | Instant or a few minutes | Not confirmed | Shown in cashier | Not stated | No casino fee | Before first withdrawal |
| Bitcoin and other crypto | Instant or a few minutes | Usually up to 3 banking days | Shown in cashier | €100 | Network fees possible | Before first withdrawal |
| E-wallets | Instant or a few minutes | Usually up to 3 banking days | Shown in cashier | €100 | No casino fee | Before first withdrawal |
| Bank transfer | Depends on the bank | Usually up to 3 banking days | Shown in cashier | €100 | Bank and conversion fees possible | Before first withdrawal |
Paying In
According to the FAQ, the minimum deposit varies by method and is shown on the Deposit page. Most deposits arrive at once or within minutes, and the casino charges nothing for them. With a euro account your bank converts each NZD payment and may add an international transaction fee; with an NZD account, check how the cashier shows minimums and caps before paying. If you have switched on a gambling block with your bank, the card payment will be declined. Do not use someone else's card or account to get around it: the terms forbid third-party payments, and such a deposit can be voided along with any winnings. For crypto, copy the wallet address shown at that moment, since older addresses may no longer work.
Cashing Out
Withdrawals by bank transfer, e-wallet or crypto start at €100 and are capped at €1,000 a day and €10,000 a month. One request can be pending per method, and you can file one request every 24 hours. Processing usually takes up to three banking days; KYC, public holidays and payment-provider delays can add to that. Your total bets must at least match your last deposit, and the first deposit must be wagered once. A separate daily winnings cap of €100,000 applies, so large wins are paid over several days. Payouts normally return to the deposit method, and nothing is sent to third-party accounts.
KYC is required before any withdrawal and once lifetime deposits pass €2,000: a passport or photo driver licence valid for three more months, a selfie holding it and a bank statement or utility bill from the last three months. Reviews usually take around 48 hours. Details are on our payments page.
App and Mobile Access
We found no official iOS or Android app. MadCasino's About page says every game runs in the browser without a download, and its FAQ confirms the site works on phones and tablets. We did not test the mobile layout ourselves. Avoid APK files and so-called mirror apps the casino has not confirmed. "Add to Home Screen" creates a shortcut that stays up to date, not an installed app. The archived home page showed a phone menu bar with Casino, Live, Join, Search and Promo; live video uses a fair amount of data, so Wi-Fi is the safer bet.
MadCasino Pokies and Slots
The lobby blends land-based classics with online favourites, so pokies fans will recognise plenty of names. Cleopatra, Book of Dead, Wanted Dead or a Wild and 9 Masks of Fire lead the "Popular slots" row, and a studio filter narrows down the full lobby. MadCasino gives no total game count, and RTP, stake ranges and volatility are not shown in the lobby; we did not open the games, so they are marked as not disclosed below. Several well-known titles do not count towards bonus wagering, so check the excluded list before playing them with bonus money.

For browsing, try the themed collections: low-stake pokies sit in One-Cent Wonders, Cosmic Reels and Greek Mythology group games by subject, and In-game bonuses gathers slots with their own feature rounds. The "+165"-style numbers on collection cards are preview labels, not catalogue sizes.
Table and Crash Games
Blackjack? Yes, chiefly at live tables: Vivo's Las Vegas Blackjack, Iconic21's Gravity Blackjack and Winfinity Live's Bar Blackjack 3 feature on the home page, while the casino's FAQ adds RNG table games and video poker to the mix.
Roulette? Vivo supplies Oracle Twister Roulette, XPG runs Galaxy Auto Roulette, and 7Mojos Live covers 777x Galaxy Roulette, Turkish Roulette and 500x Cyber Auto Roulette.
Crash games? Yes, in a dedicated Crash games collection; Aviator and Chicken Road are excluded from bonus wagering.
Do table games clear a bonus? No. Bets on video poker, live games, baccarat, sic bo and roulette add nothing to wagering, so use your cash balance and check each table's limits before you bet. Beyond blackjack and roulette, the home page shows just one more live card game: 7Mojos Live's Dragon Tiger.
| Game | Features | Versions |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack | Live tables from three studios | Bar Blackjack 3, Gravity Blackjack, Las Vegas Blackjack |
| Roulette | Live and automatic wheels, multiplier versions | Galaxy Auto, 500x Cyber Auto, Turkish, 777x Galaxy, Oracle Twister |
| Dragon Tiger | Two-card live game | 7Mojos Live |
| Crash games | Quick multiplier rounds | Aviator and Chicken Road excluded from bonus wagering |
Live Dealer Tables
Mid-sized studios supply the live section. The home page features Vivo, 7Mojos Live, XPG, Iconic21 and Winfinity Live. We saw no tables from the biggest names, Evolution and Pragmatic Live. Stake ranges are not shown in the lobby, and we did not test the streams on any device. Wheels like Galaxy Auto Roulette run with no human dealer at all. Nothing you stake at a live table helps clear a casino bonus; the terms allow for live-only bonuses, but none was on offer when we looked.

Sportsbook, Esports and Predictions
Ten sports are listed: soccer, tennis, basketball, table tennis, esports, volleyball, MMA, ice hockey, baseball and cricket. Cricket fans can find their sport, but rugby union, rugby league, netball and racing are missing, which leaves out much of what New Zealanders bet on. Under Predictions you will find prediction markets, where the only question is whether an event happens or not. The book loads inside an embedded widget, so markets, Cash Out and bet builders could not be confirmed from public pages; the full rules are a PDF on the site. Any bet placed with bonus money must be priced at 1.80 or longer.
Where MadCasino Wins and Loses
Wins
- A genuine choice at sign-up: slots package, sports package or no bonus at all.
- Low welcome wagering per step: 5x to 10x on slots and 5x on sports.
- Four weekly casino reloads and two sports reloads once the welcome stage is over.
- Casino, live tables, sportsbook with cricket, esports and prediction markets on one account.
- Every bonus step shows its own wagering on the offer card, so the cost of each offer is clear upfront.
Losses
- No New Zealand licence; the DIA cannot step in if a dispute goes wrong.
- Limits and caps are published in euro only; NZD figures are unconfirmed.
- Cash-outs start at €100, with ceilings of €1,000 daily and €10,000 monthly.
- No rugby, netball or racing markets; POLi not shown.
- Casino bonus winnings capped at 25 times the bonus; self-exclusion by email only.
What Makes MadCasino Different
Where most casinos attach one bonus to the first deposit, MadCasino spreads its slots package over five, each with its own wagering. The 777% headline is the sum of 200%, 150%, 150%, 100% and 177%, and €7,500 is the sum of five caps. It rewards players who were already planning several deposits; one large deposit only unlocks the first step. A €250 deposit fills step one, while the €3,000 cap on step four needs a €3,000 deposit at 100%.
The sign-up screen is unusual too: slots package, sports package (250% up to €3,500 over three deposits) or nothing. Deposits and bonuses stay in a bonus balance until wagering is met, so if quick access to your money matters, playing without a bonus is often the better call. Cancelling a bonus before your first bet returns the deposit to your cash balance, which is a useful exit if you change your mind.
For a New Zealander the bigger difference is oversight. TAB NZ and Lotto NZ answer to New Zealand law, and licensed online casinos will too once the new system starts. At MadCasino, complaints and self-exclusion run only through the casino's own support team. The Wild West look, sheriff mascot and seasonal collections such as Oktoberfest Fortune and Haunted Spins are fun, but they do not change that.
VIP Programme and Cashback
A VIP programme is mentioned, but levels and rewards were not fully described when we checked. Publicly, all you see is a banner reading "Cashback 20%", with small print limiting it to VIP customers. There is no table of tiers, points or turnover thresholds, and nothing says whether status is by invitation or automatic.
The cashback details are also missing: whether the 20% is worked out on net losses or on stakes, how often it is paid, whether it is capped, and whether it comes as cash or as a wagered bonus. Nothing on madcasino6.io mentions personal managers, birthday gifts or raised withdrawal ceilings for VIPs, so this guide makes no such promises.
Leave cashback out of your budget. If VIP status interests you, ask live chat how it is awarded, how the 20% is calculated and whether VIPs can withdraw more than €1,000 a day, and ask for the answer by email. Be wary of "VIP invitations" that do not come from the madcasino.io domain, and never play more simply to chase a tier. If you are offered VIP status, ask whether it changes the €10 stake limit or the 25x cap on bonus winnings, because the public terms do not say.
Tournaments at MadCasino
No tournaments were running at our latest check. The home page, menu and the four Promotions packages only show deposit bonuses, with no leaderboards, prize pools or schedules. Game studios sometimes run network promotions inside their game windows instead, and this section will be updated if leaderboard events appear.
Should an event appear, read four things first: the size of the prize pool, which games qualify, the smallest allowed bet and whether prizes carry wagering. Keep a separate budget for it, because chasing a leaderboard spot is one of the easiest ways to play longer than you meant to. Promotions is where new events would show first, so that is the page to watch after logging in.

Licence, Security and Gambling Harm Tools
Anyone can look the licence up: in Anjouan's public register, B2C licence ALSI-202409012-FI1 belongs to Softon Ltd, shows the status Valid, dates from 07.09.2024, expires on 06.09.2027 and names madcasino.io as one of its domains. There is no New Zealand licence, so the Department of Internal Affairs cannot help with a dispute. Connections are encrypted over HTTPS; the terms describe two-factor login as something that may be offered, which we could not confirm. KYC and AML checks run at three levels, and AML questions left unanswered for 30 days can close an account. Slots are described as RTP-certified, yet no testing laboratory is named.
Gambling Harm Tools
MadCasino's responsible gaming page offers limits on deposits, bets, losses and session length, along with a full transaction history. Deposit and bet limits run from 24 hours to one week; lowering them works at once, raising them waits until the period ends. A cool-down lasting anywhere from 1 to 48 hours freezes deposits and play, though you can still withdraw. To self-exclude, for a day or for good, write to support@madcasino.io from the email on your account; a request made only in chat will not be actioned. Login and withdrawals are blocked while it runs, so withdraw your balance first. Exclusion orders at New Zealand venues or with TAB NZ do not reach this site. If gambling is causing harm, call the Gambling Helpline free on 0800 654 655 or read our gambling harm help page.
In practice that means no New Zealand authority will handle your complaint, and none of the protections planned for licensed NZ operators apply. Take screenshots of your balance, bonus terms and cashier history, set your own deposit limit and complete KYC before depositing larger sums. Under its AML rules the casino keeps KYC documents, transactions and correspondence for five years after your last activity.
Customer Support
Live chat is the main channel, and the Contact page says it is open Monday to Sunday, 24/7. That is the casino's own claim; we did not time responses. Use support@madcasino.io for anything in writing and complaints@madcasino.io for formal grievances. There is no phone line. On a computer the chat opens from the sidebar. Keep messages specific — username, amount, date, payment method — and repeat anything important by email for a dated record. Self-exclusion must be requested by email.
Making a Complaint
Begin with live chat: the dispute policy targets a resolution within two weeks and, for complicated cases, a written progress update within eight. Failing that, send complaints@madcasino.io your username, the date, the game or transaction concerned and screenshots. Written complaints may take as long as 60 working days. Time limits apply too: seven days to dispute a game result, a month for other matters and 365 days to take a dispute further. No independent dispute service is named, and New Zealand agencies will not take up complaints against an overseas site, so keep every message.
Our Expert Score
Our 3.9 out of 5 balances flexible bonuses and a varied lobby against the withdrawal caps, the offshore licence, euro-only published limits and a sportsbook without rugby. The score will change if MadCasino confirms NZD amounts, publishes VIP terms or raises withdrawal limits.

What Players Say
MadCasino's Trustpilot profile for madcasino.io currently reads "This profile has been removed", so there is no public score to quote. Here are typical player opinions about the published rules, not verified reports: some happy, some less so.
Step 2 of the slots package is only 5x, sweet as. Didn't realise Immortal Romance doesn't count though, check the list first.
Everything on the promo cards is in euro, no NZD figures anywhere. Bit of a hassle working it out.
No rugby on the sportsbook?? Cricket's there at least. Went back to slots.
Wednesday reload looks like the pick, 20x is fair. The 25x ones on the weekend, not so much.
Heads up, the KYC selfie has to be with the same licence you upload. And it's €1,000 a day max on withdrawals.
No app, browser only, don't need one anyway. The cowboy theme is a bit of fun.
Min withdrawal of 100 euro is steep for small players. No POLi on the payment logos either.
| Area | Positive | Negative | Our comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bonuses | Low per-step wagering, free choice | Amounts shown in euro | Check NZD caps in the cashier |
| Payments | Crypto and e-wallets | €100 minimum withdrawal, no POLi | Do KYC before your first cash-out |
| Sportsbook | Cricket, soccer, esports | No rugby or racing | Check markets before choosing the sports package |
MadCasino NZ FAQ
Is it legal for New Zealanders to play at MadCasino?
The Gambling Act 2003 restricts who may offer online gambling from within New Zealand, but it does not make it an offence for New Zealanders to play on overseas sites. MadCasino has no New Zealand licence, so the DIA cannot help with disputes. The rules are changing as online casino licensing is introduced, so check the current position.
Can I have a MadCasino account in NZD?
Not confirmed. MadCasino publishes its bonus caps and withdrawal limits in euro, and the terms say currency options depend on your registered country. If NZD is offered when you sign up, check the converted minimums and caps in the cashier and Promotions before depositing, and do not rely on euro figures converted at today's rate.
Do I pay tax on MadCasino winnings in New Zealand?
Gambling winnings are generally not taxed for recreational players in New Zealand. It is still worth logging your deposits and withdrawals, since a bank may ask about the source of a large incoming payment. If you gamble in a way that could look like a business, ask Inland Revenue or a tax adviser.
Can I bet on rugby at MadCasino?
Not according to the sportsbook menu. The menu lists cricket, baseball, ice hockey, MMA, volleyball, esports, table tennis, basketball, tennis and soccer, ten sports in all. Rugby union, rugby league, netball and racing do not appear, so if those are your main markets, MadCasino's sports package is a poor fit.
How does the 777% slots figure add up?
It is the total of five separate deposit bonuses: 200%, 150%, 150%, 100% and 177%. The €7,500 is likewise the sum of five caps. No single deposit gets 777%, and each step has its own wagering of 5x or 10x, a €10 stake limit and a 25x conversion cap.
Expert Summary
Summary by Liam Harrington, Senior iGaming Analyst
After working through MadCasino's bonus terms, mobile site, lobby, payment methods and licence, I give it 3.9 out of 5 for adults in New Zealand. Its best feature is flexibility: a five-step slots package with 5x–10x wagering per step, a sports package with cricket markets, or no bonus at all, backed by a lobby of Play'n GO, Microgaming, Hacksaw and IGT pokies, live tables and prediction markets.
The drawbacks are mostly about money and oversight. Limits are published in euro, and NZD figures still need confirming in the cashier. Cash-outs need at least €100 and top out at €1,000 a day and €10,000 a month, casino bonus winnings convert only up to 25 times the bonus, and the €10 stake limit is easy to trip over. The licence is offshore, the DIA has no say over the site, and the sportsbook skips rugby and racing.
If you look further, start without a bonus or with step one only, check the currency your cashier really uses, upload ID, selfie and proof of address early, and test a small withdrawal before depositing more. Set a deposit limit on day one, and keep the Gambling Helpline number, 0800 654 655, handy.
